I’m Linda, an illustrator and graphic designer from Amsterdam in The Netherlands. I grew up in a town in the middle of our little country and as a child I loved drawing, playing with lego and reading. I devoured fairytales, adventure books in faraway lands and stories about time travel. In my work I still draw inspiration from those subjects, especially fairytales.
Drawing has always been part of my life, but it wasn’t until I started drawing every day (from 2014 onwards) that I began to take it more seriously. I opened an online shop in 2017 and I set my sights on becoming a picture book illustrator. These days, illustrating has become my main job and I'm quite ambitious about it. I want to have my own books out in the world, inspiring young readers to take life not too seriously and understand that life gets easier if you can laugh about it.
I'm represented by Rebecca Sherman at Writers House Literary Agency. With her help I've developed and sold my first authored-illustrated picture book: That bear is too small, which will be published in October 2027 by Little, Brown Books for Young Readers. A second book is following in autumn 2028.
I’m passionate about illustration and I love bringing characters and stories to life. I’m available for a wide range of illustration projects, from children’s books and packaging design to editorial work and murals.
